"The Love We Make," a documentary about September 11th, premieres on Showtime on September 10th 2011. For the 10 year anniversary, Paul McCartney highlights his life experiences of that devastating day. The documentary will reveal McCartney's life on September 11, 2001 from his plane being grounded at a New York City airport to his journey throughout the city. "The Love We Make" will feature footage from his "Concert for New York City" and appearances from Billy Joel, Elton John, Eric Clapton, David Bowie, his daughter and many others.
Directed by Bradley Kaplan and Albert Maysles, Mr. McCartney discloses his fears and states: “”It was an honor to be able to help New York and America at that time in its history. There was a feeling of shock and fear in the air that I thought we could help alleviate with music. And the fact that so many people stepped up to join us made for a very uplifting evening for us all.”
