This exhibition is a first for the artist, who is a pioneer in the use of LEDs and computer-driven imagery. Villareal is also known both for his light sculptures and architectural, site-specific works. This exhibition presents his work in the context of innovation in the 21st-century, and the use of computer code and new technology as a medium for abstraction.
