Nice coverage. It was very exciting to work with Bobbye and Wendy as Ming and I designed the exhibition. As you can imagine there were enormous challenges, especially as regards light and respecting the conservationists needs to protect sensitive objects from light in the Resnick Pavilion. Design elements such as the helical steel structure which you can see in the installation photos and the translucent “foils” that float above exhibit areas and desine more intimate spaces for the exhibition of smaller graphic elements and fashion, were driven both by our desire to create an exciting, dynamic environment as well as a way to lowwer light levels while achieving a lightness, a luminosity, and a spatial configuration that inspired visitors to “get into” the objects on display
