Join mycologist Leon Shernoff and Slow Food Chicago for a guided hunt for morels. Leon is the editor of Mushroom The Journal of Wild Mushrooming, the only North American consumer magazine for people who hunt morels, porcini, and other interesting fungi. The hunt location will be near Vie Restaurant. Weather and conditions will dictate the exact location. The meeting spot will be posted on www.slowfoodchicago.org on Friday, May 1. Suggested gear: Sturdy shoes, small knife for trimming the ends of the mushroom, and a bag to hold the mushrooms. Space is limited, so make sure to RSVP to the contact below.
