Prefab Discussion with Amanda Dameron and Joseph Tanney
Please join Dwell's Editor-in-Chief Amanda Dameron and architect Joseph Tanney of Resolution: 4 Architecture on December 4, 2012 at the new WeCross space as they discuss America's love affair (and frustrations) with prefab.
Dwell put prefab design back on the map twelve years ago when we explored the "old" idea with innovative design minds eager to iterate a classic mid-century concept. Since then, it has evolved thanks to smart designers reminding us how beautiful prefab can be.
This year's issue will include a personal tour of Jens Risom's house on Block Island as well as a look at the evolution of prefab, with highlights such as the next generation of concrete block construction used in South Africa. Joseph Tanney's newest project is also featured and will be a main talking point in the evening's discussion.
