In a lecture series sponsored by the AIASF, Hans Henneberque, a fire service professional of over thirty-three years, will instruct architects and designers on how to create a safe buildings that adhere to California building codes. Earn 35 Health, Safety, and Welfare CEU units in the five sessions held July 7, July 27, August 3, August 10, and August 17.
The Building Education Center is hosting "Keep Green with Untapped Water," a lecture on managing water sustainability while maintaining a heathy, beautiful garden. Attendees will learn how to limit consumption and other best practice techniques such as using greywater and rainwaater.
Organized by the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association, "Green Concrete: A Holistic Perspective" will inform attendees about sustainable materials and design ideas. This session will provide an overview of NRMCA’s certification program; discuss the impacts on owners, contractors, and designers; and present an ambitious and successful case study on cement reduction. 1.5 Sustainable Development units can be earned.
