Heath Ceramics: Open Studio and Sale
Heath Ceramics “Open Studio” is offering visitors a chance to explore its fascinating history through guided tours and hands-on tile glazing opportunities. The tours will highlight Heath Ceramics unique handcrafting process with behind-the-scenes demonstrations and talks. Explore how clay is made and glazes are mixed and applied to clay. Watch or participate in the creation process. Discover how specific pieces are formed, and glaze a tile. Meet the owners. Everything in the Heath Ceramics factory store will be 20% off - including
seconds and custom tile orders. Modern Basics tile will be 15% off. In addition to standard dinnerware pieces, the factory will have limited run samples, prototypes and custom pieces by potter Adam Silverman. Handmade ceramic buttons and a small lot of one-of-a-kind tiles designed by founder Edith Heath in the 50s and 60s - proceeds of the special vintage items will benefit the Brian and Edith Heath Foundation.
