George Nelson: Architect, Writer, Designer, Teacher
Join the Yale School of Architecture for a comprehensive and retrospective symposium of one of the most influential figures of American design during the second half of the 20th century. The exhibition will be on view at the Yale School of Architecture Gallery from November 8, 2012 to February 2, 2013.
On the occasion of "George Nelson: Architect, Writer, Designer, Teacher," the Yale School of Architecture will present the symposium "George Nelson: Designs for Living." To be held November 9 and November 10, 2012, the program will examine Nelson's work in the context of both its own time and its legacy. A keynote conversation between designer Marc Newson and Edward J. Cooke, Jr., the Charles F. Montgomery Professor of American Decorative Arts at Yale, will take place Friday evening followed by a reception in the School of Architecture Gallery.
