Eero Saarinen: A Reputation for Innovation

This exhibition is a tribute to Saarinen’s short and brilliant career which was bookended in the Nation’s capital with two iconic buildings: the Smithsonian Gallery of Art, a museum of modern art on the Mall which remained unbuilt and the nation’s first jet airport, Dulles International Airport which was completed one year after his death.

The exhibition is open for public with free admission!

    This lecture and cocktail reception will be given in anticipation of the upcoming November 2009 exhibition Eero Saarinen: Shaping the Future. The event will be moderated by exhibition curator Donald Albrecht, and proceeds will benefit the installation, which will focus on the Finnish architect and his work in New York.
