BoConcept Santa Monica has collaborated with Bodega Vinyl Editions to present a curated collection of large scale art editions, featuring artists such as Barry McGee, Rostarr, Michael Leon, Cody Hudson, and many others. Enjoy drinks and hors d'oeuvres while checking out the newest collection and completely remodeled BoConcept Santa Monica location.

    BoConcepts Soho Release Party

    The new BoConcept 2010 collection is in town. And what better reason is there than to throw the longest worldwide release party.  During September and October, BoConcept will celebrate the launch of their new furniture and accessories collection in 27 countries, 86 cities and 115 stores. Across borders there is no limits in partying. The longest worldwide release party kicks off in Düsseldorf, Germany on 3rd Sept and finishes in Beirut, Lebanon on 6th November 2009. The guest of honour is of course the new collection featuring new sofa models, tables, chairs, accessories – and lots of colours! Some of the highlights are the new Imola chair that is a feast to the eye. Also the cheeky Rock chair will make people smile. Colours play a significant role in the new collection. There will be stripes and graphic patterns, black, white and grey mixed with splashes of ochre yellow, bold pink and deep purple. An exciting and colourful collection worth celebrating.

    Thomas Hayes Gallery Opening

    Thomas Hayes, the founder of Noho Modern, reopens his doors as Thomas Hayes Gallery with a continued focus on mid-century decorative arts from modern Brazilian masters—Sergio Rodrigues, Jose Zanine Caldas, Joaquim Tenreiro, Oscar Niemeyer—and contemporary furniture designers such as Caldas’s son, Zanini De Zanine Caldas. The 6,000-square-foot gallery has been transformed and curated with furnishings and artwork by artists who will be exhibited throughout the year, all of whom, says Hayes, “have roots in the traditions of abstract expressionism.” The opening will reveal representational abstract paintings by Los Angeles artist Jason Fitzmaurice, hard-edge minimalist/maximalist paintings by Arizona-based Grant Wiggins, photographs and geometric paintings on Masonite by John Barbour and paintings by 1960s industrial furniture designer Arthur Ellsworth.
