"Beadle Architecture" Documentary

Design Within Reach, Scottsdale AZ will host a documentary screening about Case Study House program architect Alfred Newman Beadle. Alfred Newman Beadle #28 in Arizona (later called Case Study Apartments #1) was one of the few multifamily dwellings included in the Case Study House (CSH) program, and the only CSH project built outside of California. Even after 40 years of the legendary CSH program, the interest in Beadle's work and literature continues. Event will include an hour-long screening of the documentary "Beadle Architecture" and a chance to purchase the once out of print book "Constructions: Buildings in Arizona by Alfred Newman Beadle". Book will be available at half price ($20) for those in attendance, and was recently re-printed due to popular demand. Cocktails will be served at 6pm, film starts at 6:30pm.
