It’s quite a feat to transform the interior of a convention hall—vast and fluorescently lit—into a feel-good lounge-y space that truly brings the outside in. The Dwell on Design booths were bustling, but the Outdoor area was a popular spot to sit and feel the (artificial) grass beneath your feet and admire the vertical gardens. Here are a few shots of the greenest show floor you ever did see.

All 320 square feet of the IQ Haus by DNA European Design Studio were packed with people checking out the space. The modular units are made from shipping containers that can be combined like Legos to create a larger home.

Pebbles, by Eva Sobesky of EIS Studio, were a huge hit with kids and anyone less looking for a lounge. Nice complement to the SYNLawn, too.

Design Ecology, a design-and-install service from the Bay area, installed a vertical garden by Fytowall. The system has built-in irrigation and works on a grid (the plants actually sit an inch or two away from the wall). That means that if a part of the wall dies or is damaged, it's easy to swap it out with a new tile.

Loving the new bright-blue Peacock color that Woolly Pocket just introduced. Shown here on the Islands planters, the hue also comes on their very popular vertical varieties, and all of their indoor:outdoor flexible products are made from 100% recycled plastic bottles.

The Private Cloud Bed, by German designer Michael Kloker, made its debut at ICFF. It rocks with slight prompting and can hold up to 6 people.

It's no surprise that Snow Peak won an ICFF Editors' Choice award this year for their outdoor collection, which is extensive and modular, and makes one want to brave the great outdoors. This Iron Grill Table can carry different units, like a double burner stove, spice rack, and single barbecue box, and when it's time to go home the legs come off and the whole thing can fit in your trunk.

Made from Latvian Birch plywood and coming completely flat-packed, Gregg Fleishmann's hut-like structure takes only a little over five hours to put together. It's a playful solution to housing, says Fleishmann, who also made a splash in the Modern Family Zone with his M-4 Playgoda.

This might be the only shot of The Wave, a hammock-and-sun-shade by Royal Botania, that doesn't have a blissed out person swaying inside. It was a huge hit for weary show-goers.
