Knoll, founded in 1938, is a leading designer and manufacturer of branded office and home furniture recognized for innovation and modern design. Their commitment to innovation and modern design has yielded a comprehensive portfolio of office systems, seating, files and storage, tables and desks, wood casegoods, and accessories. Their decades long tradition of collaberation with modern designers has resulted in a product portfolio that includes some of the most iconic modern furniture pieces made, including iconic pieces by Warren Platner, Jens Risom, Marcel Breuer, Eero Saarinen, Harry Bertoia, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, and of course Florence Knoll. Knoll is the recipient of the 2011 National Design Award for Corporate and Institutional Achievement from the Smithsonian's Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum and the founding sponsor of the World Monuments Fund Modernism at Risk program.
