Overview

Kähler was founded in 1839, when the Holstein pottery Herman J. Kähler opened a small pottery in the Kindhestegade in Næstved. His son, Herman A. Kähler, took over the workshop in 1875.

Today, Kähler continues its history of making art pottery but with a contemporary interpretation. Their goal is to create new, timeless pieces with broad appeal.

Kähler is currently owned by architect Frantz Longhi and the vision is to further develop the company into an internationally recognized ceramics company with a strong artistic heritage. Kähler products are sold today throughout the world and have won several international design awards.
