Overview

Alessi, an icon of Italian design, is a family business founded in 1921 in Omegna, Italy by Giovanni Alessi. The company is known for its stainless steel homewares including its famous stovetop espresso maker by Richard Sapper. Alessi is also known for its playful and colorful designs in other materials and its many other handsome products ranging from cookware to servingware to decorative items. Alessi has collaborated with designers and architects including Richard Sapper, Michael Graves, and Philippe Starck, resulting in some of its most well-known designs. The current catalog is the result of Alessi’s collaboration with over 500 designers from all over the world, and its products are part of more permanent museum collections than any other design company.
