New Electrolux Oven: Inspired or Overcomplicated?

Sure, it’s nice to bring home the latest technological wonder, but ultimately you don’t want major appliances to break as often as your iPhone.
That’s why the new Inspiro oven from Electrolux made me raise an eyebrow. The company claims the appliance is the first to tabulate the precise time and energy consumption needed to cook your food. All you have to do is select a category (“grilling” for example), or whether you’d like that steak well done, medium, or rare.
Intelligent design? Perhaps. But I’d like to think I’m smart enough to figure out when the cow’s cooked.
