When it’s time to retire an old nonstick pan, you’ve got to wonder how much chemical-laden coating you’ve consumed over its lifetime.

At the International Home & Housewares Show last week, several products with ceramic-based, nonstick coatings made their debut, including Feature Products’ new Starfrit Eco Chef aluminum pan (above) and Cuisinart’s Green Gourmet grill pan, griddle, and skillets (below). Ceramic-coated newbies from Ambiente and Meyer Corporation were also on view.
