City dwellers who feel that composting belongs in the countryside, take note: At 20 inches long, 12 inches wide, and 20 inches high, the new indoor automatic composter from NatureMill fits in an average kitchen cabinet. It also takes a treehugger’s sensitive nose into account, using carbon filters to get rid of odors.

The company claims one batch of compost will cover up to 40 square feet, so you’ll need to find a green space to fertilize. Unfortunately, that doesn’t come in the box.
