We are thrilled to announce the Annual Benefit Gala for SENS | No-mie Lafrance to inaugurate Rapture a new work choreographed by No-mie Lafrance that celebrates the architecture of Frank Gehry. The event will take place on Tuesday, May13, 2008 at Ghery-designed IAC Building in the Chelsea district of New York City. The event includes Cocktail, Dinner, Dessert, Party and surprise performances. The 2008 Annual Gala Benefit will support the Rapture Series, which premiers at The Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Bard College in upstate New York from September 25 to October 5 2008.

Rapture is a site-specific performance series celebrating the striking fluidity of Frank Gehry's architecture, in motion. Staged on the exterior surface of Gehry-designed buildings worldwide, the Rapture series will feature several dancers traveling across the undulating surfaces of the roofs and walls, using a custom rigging system to trace the architecture's lines and express the dynamic structure through physical movement. Sites to perform Rapture include The Fisher Center, Disney Hall, Pritzker Pavilion in Chicago's Millennium Park, Guggenheim Bilbao in Spain, Weisman Art Museum in Minneapolis, Experience Music Project in Seattle, DZ Bank in Germany, and the AGO in Toronto.
