Video: A Real Railroad Apartment

In the face of a dismal real estate market, U.S. homeowners are proving quite resourceful. In April, I wrote about the retired Continental 727 that Mississippi resident Jo Ann Ussery lives in. Today, I came across this video of a 1949 Portland Pullman Railcar converted into a modern home.
At 9.5 feet wide and ten feet high, the home features a bedroom, living area, electric kitchen, and bathroom. It is property tax-free (it counts as “rolling stock”), transportable, and powered by an electric plug.
The railcar is now on the market for $225,000.
