Winner: Small Cool 2008
Believing, as we do, that a great space isn’t determined by size, Apartment Therapy invited readers to submit homes under 850 square feet to its Small Cool 2008 contest.

The winner, which Apartment Therapy announced last week, is a 460 square foot apartment in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. A lofted sleeping area, supported on four sides by shelving, creates much-needed storage and allows for an open living room and small, tucked-away study.

If I was young, single, and lived in Brooklyn, I would love to live here. Even with the cats.

I love the photo of the cat coming down the ladder. Very cool place - gets the brain going about new ways to use space - well done!!

Oh my god! I'd rather live in that apartment than my own house! It's so beautifully organised! It seems to me all you would need to purchase is the centre loft style "block" and then furnish the rest yourself. I could so do that! Sign me up! :)
