Milan Report: Prefab
A few years ago prefabs were novelties at design gatherings. Now they’re mandatory.

At least two were shown at the Milan Furniture Fair last week, including Joshua Tree by the Hangar Design Group (top) which has a steel exterior and two wood-lined bedrooms (above).

Planit (above) is a modular prefab designed by Studio Bestetti, and produced by Pircher Oberland, a manufacturer of wood furniture and building products. It’s made from sustainable wood and contains a flat roof designed to accommodate a planted roof.
