Milan Report: Bouquet

When hard times come, designers always seek the comfort of romance. Such is the case with the Bouquet chair designed by Tokujin Yoshioka for Moroso, the Italian manufacturer.

Tokujin developed the chair creating a cloud-like wall from 30,000 sheets of tissue paper in the Moroso showroom in New York last October. He used tissue in the prototype chair and switched to a faux suede for the final version. This is likely to be one of the most photographed items from this year’s show.
