Slideshow: The Reading Nest
Yesterday, Michael blogged the rise of the small shed. So I thought I’d follow up with the Reading Nest, a 108-square-foot prefab by Danish firm Dorte Mandrup Arkitekter. As Dorte explained to us, the house, with its built-in bookshelves and fold-up bed, provides a quiet place to read, work, and think. A large front window and a skylight flood the birch-plywood structure with light.

Click below to watch a slideshow of the prefab house as it moves from factory to forest.

I would also be interested in cost... and US availability.

It's like a club house grown up style. Cost is a very good question.

And the cost?
