Slideshow: Croatian Renovation
This family house in Zagreb, Croatia is a renovation project by local architecture firm 3LHD. The original structure, which was built on a steep hill in the 1950s, failed to take advantage of the city view and garden. With the new “L” layout, the architects oriented the main rooms toward the garden, while shutting out the neighboring street. In this way, the house opens selectively to its surroundings.

Alex, thanks for writing. I do have one photo, which I'm happy to send you. Would you mind leaving your email?

I love the light and openness of the public rooms, with greater privacy for (presumably) bedrooms etc. The translucent effect works very well. Do you have any shots from inside the house?
