Chrome Below, Green Above
Shortly after Rob Harrison and his wife bought a 1950 home in the Mt. Baker neighborhood of Seattle five years ago, they built a green-roof for the garage they use in part to house Rob’s collection of motorcycles.

The roof is planted with baby blue eyes, red clover, yarrow and fescues, along with a mixture of drought tolerant sedums. Like all green roofs, it provides insulation and reduces rainwater run-off.
