Restaurant Design by Roman and Williams

Established in 2009, Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch of Roman and Williams has been churning out tenacious restaurant designs in The Big Apple and beyond. Strong believers that architecture and design should be substantial and meaningful, not precious or arbitrary, the duo met while working in Hollywood as production designers and art directors where they designed more than 20 films, creating elaborate and historically inspired sets. Standefer was even handpicked by film director Martin Scorsese to be the visual consultant for several of his films. Product Spotlight: Reclamation Etchworks

Industrial designer Timothy Daw and mixologist Ethan Terry have been part of the San Francisco dining industry for many years and they've noticed a problem—beautifully crafted glass bottles were being disposed of by the thousands. They couldn't let this waste continue so they started Reclamation Etchworks—a venture to create modern day, luxury spirit decanters from upcycled bottles collected from local San Francisco bars & restaurants.

The brainchild of three Chez Panisse alums, The Ramen Shop has already become a standout with its menu boasting the cohesive fusion of clever flavors like meyer lemon or burnt miso ramen.
