IIKONE

The IIKONE is a revolutionary manual pour over coffee brewer. The most revolutionary feature of its design is the fully uncovered cone filter. It uses a proprietary patented solution to hold the filter in place thanks to a specially shaped ring. Thanks to it there are no obstacles nor interruptions to the flow. The working section of the filter doesn't get into contact with anything other than the air, so the brewing process is as pure as it can be. The result is a clearer, more developed flavor and much fewer undissolved particles in the cup.

We believe coffee is one of the greatest visceral pleasures of modern life. It gives you a sense of enjoyment that cannot be enhanced in any way with high-tech gimmicks and synthetic boosters. It can only be developed hanks to the passion, hard work, and devotion of the many people involved in creating the final product, and especially the end customer. We've seen the same thing in the world of collectible automobiles, the audiophile world, the world of fine dining, and one or two others. Coffee has to go a long way from the terroir to the cup. It goes through the hands of the farmers, the importers, the roasters, and finally, the person who chooses to brew it. Every single one of them has to act with knowledge, skill, and experience, avoiding any temptation to cut corners. That kind of dedication is and always will be rare but it is certainly worth the final result. To respect and continue this path of excellence, we've created the best manual coffee brewer we believe possible. Simple, technically minimalistic, yet with a strong visual presence, with the least possible interference on the path between the ground coffee particles and the result in the cup. We also selected two coffee grinders to pair with the IIKONE, one manual and one electric, each of them being considered as the very best of its genre. We did all this in the hope of becoming a part of the quality obsessed crowd who have had the privilege to contribute to your ultimate sensory satisfaction.

The brewer is designed to be a piece of industrial art on your kitchen counter top. Fully made of medical-grade stainless steel it has strong presence and turns the brewing process into a spectacle. Watching the coffee flowing out of the conical filter is almost like observing a beating heart in an open chest. The brewer comes in a packaging that could put a luxury Swiss watch manufacturer to shame. The steel ring and the paper filters have their own little boxes inside a case handcrafted by company renowned for making transport boxes for high-end musical instruments. The IIKONE is compatible with 6-10 cup round and rectangular paper filters, and specifically designed to align with the corners of the folded rectangular sheet. Metal filter aficionados will surely be happy to know that it will beautifully accommodate their favorite perforated cone, eventually creating a brewing device made integrally of one material.

The standard high gloss version has gotten a younger (and meaner) brother – the matte black IIKONE mk1 monochrome. Available with standard white paper filters, black filters as shown in the photos are currently waiting for industrial implementation. They're fully functional, and they get their deep black color from a savvy mix of natural food dye and other organic components. After being the world first pour over brewer with a fully uncovered paper filter, the IIKONE has also become the first all-black that can actually brew a coffee.
