Inhabitat's BKLYN Best in Show
Our friends at Inhabitat just released a great 5-minute video from their walking tour of the green goods at BKLYN Designs. At the end of the tour they announced their editors' choice for Best in Show—transformable furniture by a young company called EcoSystems.

In the video, EcoSystems executive director Andrew Personette demonstrates how their reclaimed wood dining table turns into a loveseat-size bench. The secret is in a tongue-in-cheek design feature that requires you to dip a credit card into a slot on the side of the table in order to unlock the hinges and flip the table top.

On their site, EcoSystems lays out their 5-point plan for sustainable products, which includes the use of sustainable materials, computerized design and automated manufacturing that enables large items to be produced in close proximity to their destination, flat-pack transport, tool-free assembly, and a take-back program.
Check out the transformation of the dual-purpose furniture below and don't miss Inhabitat's video to see the many faces—familiar and new—of the NY sustainable design community.

Magnifique!!! C'est bien fait... avec beaucoup d'imagination. C'est très symple mais en même temps très practique! Bravo!!!
Went to you site but the table is not shown. How much would it be for this brilliant noun. Is there anyway you could put locking wheels on it and keep it green ? I was looking for a reclaimed table for a home i'm building and would love to have this table .
Okay...does it come with end tables that convert to chairs?
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention - awesome idea bro.
Also, forgot to tell you how much I love it. Nice work!
