Friday Finds 5.28.2010
We return, triumphant and revitalized, after a two-week hiatus to bring you the Friday-est Finds you ever did see.

Aaron: Decorative Practice
I've been on something of a Tumblr jag lately. A great chance wander through scads of architecture porn, food porn, fashion porn, and well, porn porn, but I've been feeling the interior design page of Decorative Practice lately. Not too fussy, nice and modern, but not militantly so, and generally a fine little trek through the enthusiastic tubmling of a design connoisseur. Take a spin yourself.
Jordan: Details sound installation by Céleste Boursier-Mougenot
Somebody get these birds a record deal. French artist Céleste Buorsier-Mougenot created an aviary in the Barbican Centre in London outfitted with horizontal electric guitars and filled with Zebra finches; When they alight, raw rock sounds accompany their delicate tweets. It's strange and awesome and I wish I could go see it in person. Their feathered faces have a bit of a Kiss thing going on, too.... via Design Vagabond
Sam: China's National Day celebration
A little late to the party, but this jaw-dropping film of China's National Day celebration from October 1st, 2009 is worth further review. What a sensational piece of filmmaking/event design it is. This is Fellini-esque spectacle on a scale that even Fellini would never achieve. 10 minutes of wholly real surreality.
