A Pantone Hotel for the Color-Obsessed
Pantone has been on a licensing kick for a while now—witness the Pantone chip mugs, messenger bags, cufflinks—but they recently unveiled their most ambitious project to date: the branded-but-tasteful Pantone Hotel, a seven-story, 59-room hotel in Brussels, designed by the Belgian interior designer Michel Penneman and architect Olivier Hannaert. Here's some colorful eye candy for you.

In the lobby, visitors can check in at the Corian front desk, borrow bikes, lounge on the Moroso sofa, and buy the full range of 'Pantone Universe' products, including folding chairs (pictured below).

The ball-shaped Finn Stone chairs in the cafe, below, are made of recycled plastic.

Each of the hotel's seven floors are dedicated to a different color palette: 2718 c (blue); 7487 c (green); 7441 c (violet); 106 c (yellow); 1795 c (red); 4705 c (brown); and 1375 c (orange), pictured below.

The rooms have white walls and white linens; the blankets and artwork provide bright pops of color.

There's a bar on the rooftop terrace, and 360-degree views of the city.
One more reason I'm dying to go to Belgium...

PLEASE come to Seattle, WA USA! We need more COLOR here! I would LOVE to be your Architect / Interior Architect on one of your Pantone Hotels! "Chromaphobics" need not register to stay here. Thanks! Ralph Martin Architect | Interior Architect | Green Designer Bellevue, WA USA
OMG! I am in love!!!! We need one of these in the states! I think I really need to get a passport now so I can come!
Perhaps this is has been buzzing the internets for a while now but this is the first we've seen and WE LOVE IT. So creative!
I could meditate in that orange-hued hallway. I think colors are spices for the eye. One sculptor said colors don't clash. Omitting the Pantone label would be a plus. I've always disliked museum posters showing the museum's name beneath the art.
Bright, refreshing, uplifting, clean - everything you want from a hotel. Excellent restraint in the design details. Looking forward to a similar explosion of art / boutique hotels in the US.
crazy
I love how color is used here, very refreshing.
t's magical! I have a yellow circle =)
Very cool and vibrant, and it's bold but not overdone - I like that there is still plenty of neutral color to let the bright hues pop.
Super cool and awesome look. I love the modernness of it. And, I'm definitely a fan of all the work Pantone has been doing.
Love the space and the way the rooms in white leave room for colorful accents... where are the flowers? Tulip or Gerbera single stems would be brilliant on those end tables!
color is a gift and thank you for using it so beautifully!!
Beautiful + Brilliant! If only I knew, I would have made a stop in Brussels when I was on my way to Amsterdam 3 days ago...!
I LOVE Pantone colors! Very VERY nice, please open one in US!
