Aerial Modernism
Some of the most famous modern buildings are now preserved as public landmarks, which anyone can visit and tour. Others remain private, viewed only through architectural photography and magazine features. Those that are in historical registries can at least be located on maps, which means through the magic that is Google Satellite, they can be seen from high above in the context of their landscape.
In this gallery we look at ten famous homes from the mid-20th century, designed by some of the greatest architects in history.

photo shown is not Plano, Illinois that is Beverly Hills Ca
Thanks, Hazzmatt! You caught an oversight. The correct map is now shown, in the much greener setting of Illinois.
Anyone know where to find the addresses of these homes? I'd be interested in looking at them on Google Maps Street View.
I agree! I would love to get the addresses of famous properties to see for myself on Google maps!
Love the idea, but this slideshow demonstrates the problem of just pasting an address into a map search engine. The Eames house is visible in this pic but some distance from your label, the Farnsworth house is only barely within the bottom left frame of the Plano pic, and Fallingwater is ~1/4 mi SW of the Mill Run marker. A little more research -- and closer images -- reveal some fascinating MCM homes.
