Designer Doghouses Are Real—and Now You Can Win One
Dog-loving TV personality Alison Victoria has teamed up with the KILZ paint company to auction off five doghouses modeled after classic homes—and they might just make you jealous of your pup. With names like Vegas Vacation and Beach House, the midcentury-inspired homes will let your furry friend lounge in comfort and style.

HGTV star, interior designer, and pup-lover Alison Victoria stands next to The Wesley, named after one of her own dogs. It's inspired by her hometown of Chicago.
These kinds of houses are a specialty of Pijuan Design Works. For the auction, they've collaborated with Victoria to offer an array of sizes and shapes to suit different pets’ lifestyles. Prime Pup Time has a shaded interior and a personal turf deck that would look great in a California backyard. The Wesley—one of the two named for Victoria's pups—features a turf-clad ramp and a "woof deck" for napping.
The auction is part of KILZ’s Every Dog Is Worth It campaign, and contest proceeds—along with a base donation of $20,000—will be given to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). Each of the five luxurious accommodations is coated in the company's signature primer, which was "developed to solve common pet owner problems, such as unwanted smells and stains," says Andy Lopez, the company’s brand director.
Vegas Vacation is a roomier model that's better suited for the outdoors.

Victoria—a serial remodeler known for her Chicago–based HGTV show Windy City Rehab—lives with her two dogs, Wesley and Kennedy, and is familiar with challenges facing pet owners. "Having pet-friendly spaces that are also fresh and livable is something I see as more and more important to pet parents," she says. "KILZ...really understands the needs of dedicated pet owners."
The Kennedy is an indoor model named after one of Alison Victoria's pups. It features brass legs, wood veneer paneling, and a marble patterned cushion.
While your own midcentury dreams may have yet to be realized, you can at least live vicariously through your pup while simultaneously benefitting the ASPCA, which has championed a high quality of life for pets for over a century in the U.S. Bidding for the dog retreats begins today and runs until the end of National Dog Day on August 26.
