Family-owned Ligne Roset has been making furniture by the Rhône river in France since 1860, and is known for its design-forward collaborations with both known and up-and-coming talents. (You might know them for their distinctively groovy Togo sofa, a cult favorite in the interior design community for nearly 50 years.)

Pieces like the Ottoman Outdoor sofa are ideal for an outdoor pool setting, according to Vingerhoets-Ziesmann. The Moroccan footstool-inspired seating provides the same comfort as its indoor counterparts with a clever hidden drain between the seat and backrest to drain moisture from the elements.

In fact, the idea behind it is simplicity, a simple object that expresses the concept of travel," says the piece’s designer, Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance. If you’re looking for something a bit more customizable, the Murtoli large outdoor sofa comes with seat cushions made of foam and wood that are designed to blend soft comfort with solid weight to stay put when they're leaned on and can be moved around to a variety of positions. The cushions feature two different slopes: one side is for the more laid-back lounger, while the other is for more upright seating.
